March 2017
Dear Mr./Mrs.,

It's the end of March and spring is in the air. Nyenrode may not be waking from its winter sleep, but we are noticing a big increase in the number of new and familiar activities being organized. The Spring concert is just one example and will take place in the Coach House on April 26. It's easy to register — via a link in this newsletter — and we hope to see you at what promises to be a wonderful event.

Moving on, there's much more news to share with you, particularly where international partnerships are concerned. For instance, Nyenrode recently signed a partnership agreement with a technical university in Poland and Philips. The plan for the future is to jointly deliver a Bachelor program from academic year 2018 onwards. Although this will be a unique project for the Silesian University of Technology, we have already gained some relevant experience this year through our partnership with the VUmc. In addition, a group of students is set to travel to RANEPA in Moscow and we welcome students from Oregon.

The international agenda is becoming ever clearer and a number of developments in the Netherlands are worthy of mention too. The decision to relocate the International MBA program — our only full-time MBA — to Amsterdam has prompted a whole range of adjustments both here at Nyenrode and in Amsterdam. So far, the relocation of the program from the Breukelen campus to an urban area has been met with a very positive response from the market. However, there are still many months before the new students actually start their studies on the Keizersgracht.

When you read that Nyenrode has been proclaimed the best Masters provider in the Netherlands again, you might wonder whether there are any challenges left for the university. There certainly are! For example, the creation of a research climate befitting a university like ours. This is an area in which much still remains to be done. However, other matters require our attention too and these will all be incorporated into our new, updated strategy as of May of this year.
